The Magician Part 1

The stage is empty. The audience is quiet.

The curtain draw back and a spotlight blinds the audience.

They roar and cheer and stamp their feet like animals.

The magician takes the stage quietly, no introduction needed.

He waves his hand once and the audience settles back into their seats.

He regards them coldly, a look of near disgust on his face

Like a butcher eyeing pitiful pickings

Or a disappointed farmer sighing over his crops.

The magician shakes his head subtly and the audience holds a collective breath.

What wonders are to be performed here today?
